Have you ever thought the world is hiding somethings we don't all know ? This new book I am reading Nevermore by: James Patterson ,tells the readers when the world finds out something that was hidden from all humanity. The character Max has to face new problems with fear, excitement, love, passion, and sorrow. She has to face the world with there judgment of there differences and the sickness that has been released. Max and her friends(Dylan, Angel, Nudge, Iggy and Gazzy) have been trying to fit in with humans at a regular school. But with Fang gone it has been difficult, but Dylan manages to help out. While that, Fang has been spending time with Maya, Maxes clone and others Star , Kate , Ratchet, and Holden . But when he and his pack get attacked by Ari and his Erasers. Star and Kate betrayed Fang and told Ari where they are because they wanted safety. Maya soon dies after a fight with Max's evil half brother Ari. But Ari and his Erasers have been hunting down all the special abilities and fight each one of them off. When Fang leaves his pack to deal with his sorrow, he hears a voice that tells him to go to Max and that she needs him. I have not yet finished the book so I don't know the ending yet.
The book Nevermore reminds me of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. When Maya and Ari fight, it makes me think of Harry and Lord Voldemort's fight in the 4th book. In both those scenes someone dies, in Harry Potter, right before Harry fights Voldemort, Cedric jumps to fight but dies bravely. In Nevermore Maya dies while fighting just like Cedric in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Both theses books have a secret that they hind from humanity. In Harry Potter it is the Wizard world and in Nevermore it is the people with abilities to fly, breath under water etc. These books are about different things but are so similar.

Text to Text: The Land of Stories The Enchantress Returns
The Land of Stories The Enchantress Returns
Recently I have been reading the book The Enchantress Returns by: Chris Colfer. This is the second book and the main characters are excited to be back to The Land of Stories (Alex and Conner). When they do the entire fairytale world is being terrorised by the evil Enchantress. The only way to defeat her is to make the Wand of Wonderment. It is made by the most prised possessions of the 6 most hated people in the world.
It reminds me of the story of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. In the book Harry and his friends have to find a magical wand that will defeat Lord Voldemort forever. Like Harry Potter Alex and Conner half to get this wand accepted they half to make it to.
I love the way it ends in a cliffhanger but not at the same time. In the end they beat the Entrantress (of course). But you don't know if they will ever come bak or if they do what advencher will happen.

Have you ever encountered an old photograph of one of your parents? Well, when thirteen year old Ali is looking through her deceased grandmother's belongings in Ali's attic, she finds an old photo of her mom, Aunt Dulcie, and... someone who's been torn out of the picture. Her grandmother's writing is on the back saying Sycamore Lake, Gull Cottage 1977, Claire, Dulcie, T... Ali is asked by her Aunt Dulcie to come up to Gull Cottage with her and Ali's cousin, Emma to babysit Emma while Dulcie works on her art. Ali graciously takes the role as babysitter and spends the summer with her aunt. While Ali's at Gull Cottage, her and Emma meet a little girl named Sissy. She seems to be strange and has a horrifying secret. Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn is a scary, incredible book that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
When Emma and Ali met Sissy, this reminded me of Welcome to Dead House by R.L. Stine (a book in the famous Goosebumps series) because the main characters move to a spooky, new house and when they are walking around the neighborhood, mysterious kids are talking to them. Sissy, in the book, always keeps on happening to appear in random places wherever Emma and Ali go, which is what exactly happens in Welcome to Dead House. When the characters are walking to school, waiting at the bus stop, playing outside their house, strange children end up near their new house, asking them unusual questions.
Thoughts I had while reading were why does Sissy keep on asking Ali weird questions about her family? And why does Sissy always where the same faded bathing suit over and over again like the children keep wearing the same outfits in Welcome to Dead House? Many questions occurred to me while reading this mind-blowing book. And soon all of my questions were answered. If you want to find out, then read Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn.

The House of Hades- Blog 2 Text to Text
The House of Hades
The book I'm reading is called The House of Hades by Rick Riordan. The book is about seven demigods who go on an adventure to stop Gaea from destroying the world. Gaea is a god who has more power than you can imagine and she wants to rule the world with her minions. Since Percy and Annabeth fell into Tarturus they have to close the doors of death to get back to the mortal world. If they succeed the monsters they kill will die for good and never come back. The rest of the demigods have to stop the Romans and the Greeks from fighting so they can fight Gaea together and rescue Percy and Annabeth. If you want to know if Percy and Annabeth survive and defeat Gaea, check the book out.
In the book all of the characters have something to do. They all have there quests for fighting evil forces and saving each other. When I was reading this book it reminded me of Harry Potter a bit. Both of the books are fantasy and have magic and mythical creatures. In Harry Potter the characters have quests to stop the antagonist, Voldemort who wants to rule the world. Its the same in Percy Jackson because they are fighting an evil force who wants to rule world with all power possible. This is why I think the Percy Jackson Series is related to the Harry Potter series.
In the book it leaves me wondering who is going to sacrifice themselves to Gaea. Either Jason is going to die or Leo since the prophecy said. When I was reading the book I started thinking about the prophecy, "Seven half-bloods shall answer the call, to storm of fire the world must fall, an oath to keep with a final breath, and foes bear arms to the doors of death." The last part in the prophecy to me meant that a giant, titan, and demigods which are all enemies means that they will group up to close the doors of death and stop Gaea. The ending to this book was sad and another cliffhanger. I really recommend this book because it is one of the best books Rick Riordan has made.

The book I am reading is Matched by Ally Condie, this is a story about a girl named Cassia and about her life in this Society that she grew up in. The Society decides everything for her, who to love, what to eat, what to wear, and many more. Then, something goes wrong when she's being matched to the person she's going to marry. Xander pops up on the screen, as expected, and then out of the blue this guy named Ky, his fame goes on instead of Xander's. As the story goes on, she starts to wonder of Ky's face was an accident or a sign.
When Cassia has a choice to pick Xander or Ky, it would be betrayal to other person if she picked the other. This part of the book is similar to a scene in The Land of Stories A Grimm Warning by
Chris Colfer because Rook has to choose between helping his father and the other villagers or harming Alex's emotional state, it would defiantly be betrayal to the other. Cassia is like Alex because they both love someone and care deeply about them. The only difference would be that Cassia loves both Xander and Ky, so it's double the challenge.
In conclusion, I can't believe how the society sees every single thing that Cassia does especially when the official saw her not taking the red tablet when she was suppose to. I was surprised that the Society didn't see her practicing cursive with Ky when they went hiking. I always wondered why the people completely wiped out writing. Cassia didn't even know how to write before Ky taught her how with the stick in the woods.

Models don't eat chocolate cookies: Text to Text
The book I am reading in Literature Appreciation is called Models don't eat chocolate cookies, by Erin Dionne. This book is about a 13-year-old girl named Celeste that gets bullied about her large size. Her Aunt secretly enters her into a modeling competition for plus-sized girls. She does not want to go but she decides to go for only one round, to make her mother proud. The competition starts changing her life.
Celeste kind of reminds me of the character in the book called The Runaway Twin because they both come across many problems and they both kind of have the same personality. For example, they are both scared at times, but they still go through with it. Also, Celeste is like Stargirl in the book Stargirl because they both don't really care what they wear. They both want to wear want they want and what they feel comfortable wearing. In conclusion, there are many books that compare to Models don't eat chocolate cookies.

The Hunger Games
The Hunger games
Have you ever read the Hunger Games? The author is Suzanne Collins she writes lots of books and many series of books. This story is about a girl named Katniss she is going to get her district 12 some food due to how poor the village was. Katniss and her sister go to see the mayor and find out how will be picked to fight for them. Her sister gets picked but she says she will go for her because she cares for her.She has to say bye to her family and go.She has to fight and uses what she knows to work out the way to win.
This character reminds me of somebody I know by my friend she works hard to get good grades and makes sure to help out like Katniss. She also reminds me of me by the way she help out other people in need of help. This situation reminds me of a similar time because when I read a book that a girls grandma was going to die she had to fight to come back and help her best friend. Katniss is very strong to fight the games and see has to help out other people on the way so she helps out a little girl with kindness. This book is very similar to my life by how the story flows and how to characters act in the story.
The Hunger Games is a story about not giving up on what you believe in.This story has text to self by comparing the story to me.I can compare the story to me when she heads to go fight she won't give up in her self so it compares to me when i had a test i would not give up on getting a bad grade or giving up.Then one person in the story got sick so she help her get better i had to do the save for my grandma. This charter is like Harry Potter in Harry Potter because the way he says he would never lie to a good friend and the way Katniss cares for her sister.

Blog 1 Deep and Dark and Dangerous
I'm reading the book Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn. My book is about a girl named Ali and she found a mysterious picture. It was took in 1977 at Gull Cottage. Ali see's a "T" on the back of the picture and was torn in half. Ali asked her mother about the photograph and she was hesitant about the photo and was not happy to see it. Then, her Aunt Dulcie comes to town and has some answers.
The character, Ali, reminds me of me because she is determined to find out who "T" is in the pictures and I once found a picture that was torn of my dad and his brother and then on the back it said " Chris, Scott, and S." But, the difference was that my dads picture was faded not torn and my dad answered ,unlike Ali's mom.

Text to Self, Divergent
I am reading Divergent by Veronica Roth, is a story about a girl named Beatrice who is nervous about the aptitude test. This test would tell her what faction she belongs to. She would choose her faction the next day at the choosing ceremony. There are five different factions she can get into, Abnegation which is what she is now, Dauntless, Amity, Candor and Erudite. When a person takes the test it is supposed to rule out all the factions that person doesn't belong in. Beatrice is different, she's Divergent. Divergent means that the person could belong to multiple factions. She ended up choosing Dauntless not knowing what she was going to have to do in order to get into the faction.
Tris reminds me of someone I know because they had to make a choice between different things that they wanted. She wanted to have a happy life but still the thrills of an action one. One of my friends could either choose between going to the beach or going to a water park with me. One of them is calm but still has screaming kids and hot sun, while the other one still has screaming kids but it is more fun. He chose the one that he wanted to do which was going to the water park. He knew what he wanted and what he was going to enjoy more, the same goes with Tris.
While I was reading Divergent I began to think that the other initiates were starting to notice abnormal things with Tris' results. I was surprised that she chose Dauntless because she doesn't seem like the type of person that would want to jump off a roof into the compound.

The Mark Of Athena, by Rick Riordan, is a story about 7 teens that go on adventure to save the world from the rise of Gaea. Percy,Annabeth,Jason,Piper,Hazel,Frank, and Leo travel to Rome to go underground to send Annabeth on a quest of death. Then things go wrong, This story is full of non-stop action and is filled with funny moments and thrilling battles. You will find it hard to believe that only 7 teens could complete this. This book is one of the most thrilling and exciting books you will read.In this adventure they come across many gods that you may not know or even new gods.
The books battle contain allys battling each other due to Gaeas power to control peoples minds to make them do things. These 7 teens must stop the Doors Of Death before it is too late and monsters will take over. This leaves Annabeth on a quest to save the fate of the world.
I am like Leo because Leo is smart and knows how to get people out of bad situations in this book. He always has his teams back like me,this is why Leo can relate to me in this book.I can also relate to Leo in this book because he can be clumsy sometimes, just like me.This is the reason Leo and me have alike personality traits.

When they run in gym class, it reminds me of when I am in P.E and the coach has us run around the track. Celeste and I are similar because we stand up for ourselves for something we didn't do wrong. In conclusion, this book is very enjoyable and I relate a lot to it.

Text To Self - Water Walker
Have you ever thought what it would be like to not remember anything from 6 months ago? Water Walker by Tedd Dekker, is a story about a young girl named Alice who can't remember anything from 6 months ago. Lost in her thoughts almost anything could be logical at this point. She went to check the door and this odd man told her he was her father. The man went away after the mother came to check the door. Alice thinking about what has just happened, was just even more lost into her deep, deep thoughts.
This character reminds me of someone I know because they always forget what they are thinking,, but not quite as extreme as Alice. This character also reminds me of me, because I think a lot to myself when I'm bored or just need to go over something in my head. Lastly a situation of this reminds reminds me of a situation in my life. I was little and a stranger told me he was my uncle or something along those lines and I was flat out confused. Luckily, my teacher got him to go away and I wasn't taken by my "uncle".
I was surprised how casually Alice brushed off a man just told her that he was her father and then just left. I can't believe how Alice just ignored her mom when she was trying to discuss the situation with her. Lastly, I noticed Alice might not be totally normal if she turns the other cheek to things people wouldn't, and she can't remember her past at all.

Harry Potter Series By J.K. Rowling
My book is Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix ,By J.K. Rowling . This book is the 5th book of the seven book series. Harry potter is staying at his aunt and uncle house for the summer vacation but it turns out a buzz he and his cousin get attack by dememtors. After that he figures out that he was under watch and he also got told that Dumbledore had made an army to fight Lord Voldemort. He soon goes to school which has been ruin since the new Defense against Dark art teach has taken over the school and banned him from Quidditch . Harry creates an Army and gets caught for breaking the rules. Harry has been have crazy dreams and has upcoming test called the O.W.L.S. Dumbledore Left the school and so has Hagrid, Harry Hermione and Ron all wonder and worry were they are.
Harry reminds me of my brother they both get in trouble but they never mean to. When they are taking test it reminds me of me when I take a test called Azmert. Me and my friends get caught for breaking the rules unplanned (when we don't mean to). Me and Harry are similar Because we are curious and sometimes cautions , we have people we both care about.

One For The Murphy's
One For The Murphy's is an amazing book written by an amazing author, Lynda Mullaly Hunt. One For The Murphy's, was a book published in 2012, winning many awards like the Nerdy Book Award winner 2012, ABA New Voice Pick 2012, ABA Summer Picks 2013, and the really big award, Anderson Mock's Newbery Award Winner! One for the Murphy's one book that she has wrote, and the one that I am reading, and Fish in a Tree that I am diffinitly going to read after I am done with One for the Murphy's. One for the Murphy's is about a girl in middle school that has been beaten be her stepfather. Carley, the main character, has been moved to a different home while her mother I sin the hospital, after many months, Carley has grow a love for her foster family that loves her back. She has also met an amazing friend that doesn't know about her past, but only halfway through knows what might happen?
In this book, the Murphy family reminds me of one side of my whole family. First of all it is because our name is Murphy and because some of us are really kind and would take anyone into our home if it was an emergency. Carly, reminds me of a girl that came to my old school in Nebraska that was a forgien exchange student from Korea. Which means that she lived with another family that went to our school and took care of them, and Carly was almost like a forgien exchange student too. This situation kind of reminds me of when I had to live with my aunt for a couple days while we were moving from Nebraska to Arizona.
I am in love with this book because of the incredible description and details. In this book you also notice that Carly grows a love for the Murphy's. I began to think what else could happen if I'm only half way through the book? I guess I'll just have to keep reading to find out.

Blog 1: Escaping the Giant Wave
I am reading Escaping the Giant Wave by Peg Kehret. This book is about a kid named Kyle and his sister BeeBee. Kyle, BeeBee and his parents are going to Oregon for a promotion trip. Later, Kyle releases that his enemy, Daren, is going to because there parents work for the same company. Then, when there parents are at the promotion on a boat and Kyle and BeeBee are alone at the hotel a earthquake hits! After that a fire starts it the hotel! Then, a tsunami hits Fisherman beach where they are staying! Will they survive?
In the story Kyle Babysits his little sister Beebee and I babysit my little siblings often when my parents need help. Kyle also related to me because he is the oldest and so am I, I have two younger sisters. Kyle also relates to me because he was acting like a grown up when he had to make decisions about how to get out of the hotel and if they should run uphill and i have to make decisions like that everyday and be the grownup when my parents aren't there. Kyle also had been bullied by Daren and I have been bullied before for about 2 months.
I really liked this book because it had a lot of suspense and it was interesting and I could make a lot of connections to the book. I hope you guys think this book would be interesting too.

Text To Self- The House of Hades
My book is The House of Hades, by Rick Riordan. This story is based off the previous cliffhanger where Annabeth and Percy fell into Tarturus. The book starts off as the crew thinking of a plan to rescue Annabeth and Percy and save the world from Gaea destroying the everything. When Percy and Annabeth are suffering in Tarturus they have to find there way to open the doors of death to get back to the mortal world. All of the characters come across obstacles to meet up. If they find Annabeth they have to stop a war with the Greeks and Romans. Along the way they find gods who give them hints, directions, and join there side to stop the forces of Gaea. If you want to know more you should read the book.
In my book I am related to Percy Jackson because he keeps your hopes up during the story. When Annabeth and him have no hope, he brings it back up by making jokes or saying "As long as we stick together" I like to make people laugh and it makes me laugh when they laugh to. This character reminds me of my dog because my dog is very brave, cool, awesome, and cheers me up when I am in a bad mood. When I was a kid my dad had lost his wallet and I dressed up all black, glasses, and a detective hat. I looked everywhere for the wallet and so were my parents and I made them laugh with my costume and kept telling them the wallet was here. Apparently my dads wallet was in his pocket so everything worked out. This is why I am related to Percy Jackson.
Throughout the story I was surprised that Bob forgave Percy because Percy betrayed him and Nico was being the only friend to him. All of the characters in the story are changing like some are changing to prove them selves, love, braveness, and trust. I recommend this book for you if you like mythology, action, and mystery. You can read the book if you want to find out if they reunite Romans and Greeks, rescue Percy and Annabeth from tarturus, and stop Gaea.
In my book I am related to Percy Jackson because he keeps your hopes up during the story. When Annabeth and him have no hope, he brings it back up by making jokes or saying "As long as we stick together" I like to make people laugh and it makes me laugh when they laugh to. Beware, The Snowman
R.L.Stine
Jaclyn lived in Chicago and her aunt moved to Sherpia with her and Jaclyn. They moved to Speripa because her aunt and her mom were very close and lived here when they were little. Jaclyn heard some strange noises every night before she had gone to sleep. Jaclyn made some friends and wanted to know about the strange snowman's that are every where on every ones yard. She had found some facts and whats happening in their town and mystery s.
Jaclyn has reminded me of my friends that have moved in. This person didn't know didn't know anything about the street and what was going to happen so someone had to explain to them. This has happened to me when someone moved in and I had to teach them about my street and how many kids they had to play with if they had kids. Jaclyn wanted to find the snowmen every one was talking about so she went and found the snowmen at the top of the hill, from her friends Eli and Roland . Jaclyn found her dad and was very happy then something honorable happened. She didnt understand why this has happened.

I am reading the book called "The Land of Stories the Enchantress Returns, By Chris Colfer" What do you think you would do if you were the grandchildren of the famous Fairy Godmother? Well for Alex and Conner it ins't that easy. After surviving being stuck in the Fairy Tale world and evil threats in the first book, (The Land of Stories The Wishing Well, By: Chris Colfer). Now they face a major problem in the Fairy Tale world and her mother has been taken by...... Alex keeps having this same nightmare where her grandma is in her cozy cottage and is staring out the window. Alex tries to get her to open the locked door, but it appears she is stuck in a frozen trance. Could the Evil Enchantress have come back from being defeated by Alex and Conner? Read the book and you will find out!
Alex reminds me of my family because my family would not stop until me, my sister, or, any one else is safe. But, Alex mostly reminds me of me because when she hears that her mother is missing and what happened to her, she starts her journey to try to save her. Alex would do anything to save her mother and brother because they are all she has left. This situation Alex is going through reminds me of when my family and I were at a big county fair and my sister ran away because she wanted to go on a ride. She was only 4 at the time, but when I saw her missing I did everything I could to find her. I searched for a while, well my parents checked the petting zoo and bathrooms. Then saw her getting off a ride. The ride was that big giant slide thing, that you take a rug/ carpet thing and slide down it. Once I found her I was so happy that she hadn't been taken away. Of course I wasn't with my parents, but we found them in the petting zoo.
I loved the way Alex and Conner would do anything to save their mother, no matter how great the risk. I don't really understand why the Fairy Godmother wouldn't tell Alex and Conner just little bit about what is going on in the Fairy-Tale word. I noticed that everyone in the Fairy-Tale world is willing to help Alex and Conner defeat the Enchantress. It seems like the Enchantress mistaken Charlotte for Alex. I wish that the author will continue to keep witting books to this series.

Deep and Dark and Dangerous
Deep and Dark and Dangerous is a 2007 Mystery Horror novel written by Mary Downing Hahn. It was first published on May 21, 2007 through Clarion Books and follows a young girl who tries to investigate a torn photograph but gets wrapped up in a larger mystery.
Summary
Just before summer begins, 13-year-old Ali finds an odd photograph in the attic. She knows the two children in it are her mother, Claire, and her aunt Dulcie. But who’s the third person, the one who’s been torn out of the picture?
Ali figures she’ll find out while she’s vacationing in Maine with Dulcie and her four-year-old daughter, Emma, in the house where Ali’s mother’s family used to spend summers. All hopes for relaxation are quashed shortly after their arrival, though, when the girls meet Sissy, a kid who’s mean and spiteful and a bad influence on Emma.
Strangest of all, Sissy keeps talking about a girl named Teresa who drowned under mysterious circumstances back when Claire and Dulcie were kids, and whose body was never found. At first Ali thinks Sissy’s just trying to scare her with a ghost story, but soon she discovers the real reason why Sissy is so angry.

goosebumps
Goosebumps By: R.L. Stine Is the book I am reading. It is a really good book about a girl and her family how just inherited a house from a deceased family member on the dads side. They have never head of this family member. But they thought he was a old relative. So they moved in not knowing what was behind thous doors.
Some of the charters names are Amanda,Josh,Mom,and Dad but the main character is Amanda. The setting of the story is in a small town called dark falls. Something I can relate to in this story is. I have lived in a creepy house and I had to move away from my friends.
I wonder what is so creepy about that house? My guess is has good as anyone I think there is a spirit in the house. What do you think? It is such a good book and i encourage you to read it. I am so excited to read the rest of the book.

The Land of Stories A Grimm Warning by Chris Colfer is the the book I am reading and it's the third book the series. This book is about how Conner is off to Germany with a few other classmates because the students are gifted at writing stories. While exploring the new continent, he finds a weird clue that the Brothers Grimm wrote in one of their stories. Those stories have never been read before so that's why Conner has never heard of the before. Now, he has to go back and find his twin sister, Alex, to save "a" world that they love so much. With the help of their friends and foes that is.
Alex reminds me of someone I know because she is a real good problem-solver, tries to reason with people that aren't on her side, and always has a good plan up her sleeve that no one else has ever thought of. The character that reminds me of myself is Bree because she's always up for a challenge, is adventurous, and loves to read just like I do. The situation that reminded me of my life was when Conner finally figured out that the Grimm stories were actually a warning. All he had to do was contact Alex, but the only problem was that she wasn't answering her magic mirror which is the way the twins communicate. This happened when I was trying to call my sister, but she never answered.
In conclusion, while I was reading, I began to think about what it would be like if the Grande Arm'ee returned to our world. The soldiers have been away for at least 200 years and all their family is gone. There would just be their descendants and the technology has excelled way more than any of them could ever imagine. On the other hand, I love the way the Fairy Godmother came to help her world for one last time, she still had a little magic in her. I do wish that the author wrote what happened in this world while everyone was at war in the Fairy Tale world. So, if you love fantasy, I think The Land of Stories series is the right fit for you.

My book is called Eye Of Minds by James Dashner. It is by far one of the best books I have ever read. It is very detailed, and has a nice plot that fits together nicely. The main character is Michael. He has two friends, Bryson and Sarah, and all three are hackers. They met together in a digital world called the VirtNet. They get there by going inside metal boxes called "NerveBoxes", which transport their mind into the game. The game they play most is called Lifeblood Deep, the most popular of all games on the VirtNet. But one day, the VirtNet security tells them about Kaine, a cyber- terrorist hacker. And to beat a hacker, you need a hacker...
After Michael and his friends hear about Kaine, the VirtNet security takes them to a Path in the VirtNet. They have to complete the path to get to Kaine, and then defeat him. Along the way, they are faced with many challenges such as KillSims, which are wolflike creatures, with fiery pinpricks for eyes. Their mouths are a dark void, and they suck out your digital and real life. This makes it so an Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be downloaded into your body. You are called a tangent if this happens. My favorite part is when they meet Gunner Skale, a legendary gamer on the VirtNet that they met on the Path. They meet him in a forest, and he pretends to be nice to them. After feeding them and letting them sleep, he gets all weird in the morning. Suddenly, all his animals turn into demons and try to kill them. Michael and his friends barely escape.
I can really relate to this story. Besides the fact that I am a computer geek, I also like a good challenge in a game, just like Michael. He likes action like me. He sometimes is sneaky, like when he got into the Devils of Destruction game. I really like the plot line, because it makes sense unlike some books I've read. It was a good action book that had a good concept. It was good at conveying emotions, like when Helga dies. This book leaves off as a cliff hanger and makes you really want to see the other books. At the end, you find out that Michael is a tangent and so is Kaine. It is really shocking at that point. I would give this book 10/10 circuit boards, and is really a must- read for all Maze Runner fans.

The Selection Series
This is one of the most enchanting love stories ever written. The Selection series, by Kierra Cass, is a story about America Singer a girl that lives in the future in a country called Illea. There is a caste system going from one being royalty and eight being homeless. America is a five which means she does either art or music. The selection is a competition to become the future princess of Illea and marry Prince Maxon. When America is chosen she wants nothing to do with the prince because she love another. Will she fall in love with the Maxon and win the contest or go back home with a broken heart?
America reminds me of my friend Emmaya she is very stubborn and doesn't want anything to do with something until she try's it. Maxon reminds me of me because he try's his hardest t get what he wants and works his hardest. I can also be a little stubborn at times like America. This story reminds me a little about a time in my life when I was younger and my friends and I got in a fight and said I had to chose which one I wanted to be friends with but eventually we were all friends again. It also reminds me of when a sibling asks me who I like better and it is really hard to decide.
I love the way this story is written and the plot line. My favorite part is the romance because love can be very interesting and endings can be very different. It made me sad when certain characters left or got hurt. The first three books are about Americas love story and how amazing it ends. The last two books are a whole other selection I don't want to talk about because it gives spoilers. This would be a perfect book to read if you love romance and even if you don't it has some action and interesting events. I would give this book a ten out of ten and highly recommend it.

These Last few weeks I have read the book The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani. In the story there is a school where a few chosen kids from all over the land learn to be good or evil. The reason why they get taught this is because they are the future fairy tale princesses or witches. But the School Master (Principal) made a mistake, or so they think. In the book the main characters Sophie (Evil) and Agatha (Good) are used to being the opposite of what they are being taught. But as the story progresses you learn that there was no mistake.
This situation reminds me of a similar situation in my own life. It happened when I was a little girl I thought that somebody was the most amazing person in the word. But as I grew older I realized how ignorant I was. They used me to get what they wanted and wasn't even nice to me. Like Agatha some body use use us, in the story Sophie used Agatha's magic to win a competition and after all she dose for Sophie, Sophie almost kill's her!
I felt sad when Sophie and Agatha become enemies after being relay good for a long time. Sophie made Agatha fell normal important welcome and most importantly not alone. In the end there is a cliff hanger and there is so much more that can make the story better that I can see why it is a series.

Text to Self Blog Post 1: Inside Out and Back Again
Have you ever wondered what it was like to live through a famous war? Well, Inside Out and Back Again, by Thanhha Lai, is a story about a young girl named Ha' who lives in Saigon,Vietnam and, of course, she lived through the Vietnam War. The book begins with her talking about, Tet', the Vietnamese holiday for New Years and the first day of the lunar calendar. She has three older brothers and a mother who is trying to raise all four kids after her husband in the Navy left and never came back. Their theory is that he was kidnapped. Young Ha' talks about her blooming papaya tree who is starting to grow it's first papayas. This tree gives her joy and hope. The sadness of this book is unbelievable from Ha's description of the terrorizing bombs to her fleeing her country to save her and her family with her Uncle Son. The astonishing pictures she captures in my mind is mesmerizing from the time she's at school when bombs start to hit from only a mile away and the descriptions of the things she has to do to keep her family on their feet.
This character reminds me of me because she always has that sense of hope and wonder even when the times get tough. She can also be very stubborn most times, for her mother gets strict with her which happens to me often. I would try and have the courage Ha' does when times get tough and she symbolizes amazing braveness. Ha' also reminds me of myself because of the fights she always gets in with her brothers. I am the same with my sister and certain chapters in the book just take me back to times when I was fighting with my sister just like that.
In this book, I liked the way the author explained certain events and scenes throughout the story and the curiosity of Ha'. This book was very good and I think this book definitely deserves the Newbery Honor award it has won. This book had many twists and turns and had you at the edge of your seat at some points, but mainly had that hope that many people go through when their country is at war. I recommend this book definitely and can"t wait if Thanhha Lai writes any other books like this.

Text to Self- Warriors: Forest of Secrets
I am reading Warriors:Forest of Secrets, this book is about different clans of cats. There are four clans, ThunderClan, WindClan, RiverClan, and ShadowClan. This book is about a cat named Fireheart, he is in ThunderClan. He and his friend Graystripe are trying to solve the mystery of the death of the clans deputy Redtail. He asks a cat named Ravenpaw about the battle that Redtail died in and Ravenpaw tells Fireheart that the clans new deputy Tigerclaw killed Redtail. Fireheart goes to tell the clan leader Bluestar what Ravenpaw told him, but she doesn't believe him. Now there is a bunch of other crazy things such as battles and other cats dying, but if you want figure that out you have to read the book yourself.
In this story, I have a connection with character Cloudkit (Fireheart's sister Princess's kit, later known as Cloudpaw). Cloudkit is a big ball of energy that is funny (which is totally me) although the clan despises him due to being born a Kittypet (A house cat) he still finds time to bring energy and joy to Thunderclan. He does get into trouble, because he doesn't listen to Bluestar,Fireheart, and his adopted mother Brindleface. Overall he is probably the life of the story since the book does have some dark twists.
Overall, I love this book very much. It has gotten me to take interest in cats also the author Erin Hunter. While reading the book I got a little mad at Bluestar for not believing what Fireheart told her. I love this book though because it has the right amount of action and sadness. I think the saddest part about the book was when Silverstream (Graystripes mate) dies, now i'm not going into full detail about it because you'll have to find out for yourself when you read the book.

Text to self, the Fifth Wave
I am reading The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey. This book is about an alien invasion. The aliens are called the Others and are disguised as humans. Their mission is to wipe out the human race. But, the Others are always one step ahead of the humans. Cassie Sullivan's mission is to survive the alien invasion, save her brother Sammy, and save the human race while she's at it. But, Cassie is gonna have to survive a series of attacks the Others call waves. The 1st Wave: Lights Out. The 2nd Wave: Surf's Up. The 3rd Wave: Pestilence. The 4th Wave: Silencer. The 5th Wave: You didn't think I was really gonna tell you that, right?
I made a connection in this book to Casie Sullivan, the main character. Throughout this book her only goal is to live long enough to save her brother. She makes a promises to do whatever it takes to find Sammy. In this situation, I would do the same thing. Cassie is a fighter, for example, she survives gunshot wounds and fighting the enemy. I would do whatever it takes to stay with my family, and so would Cassie. She is also very smart and when she gets hurt, a stranger takes her in and helps her get healthy again. She soon realizes that something isn't right and begins to investigate. I am also the type of person who would go out and investigate something that is suspicious or doesn't seem right. Cassie and I are a lot alike in many different ways.
I love the way the author chose to write the story. For a few chapters, it will be from one person's point of view and then it will switch to someone else's point of view. Usually their stories are completely different but happening at the same time. There will also be some flashbacks mixed in throughout the story to explain something that is happening in the present. There are also two more books in the series, The Infinite Sea and The Last Star. The Fifth Wave is such a great book that I completely understand why they would continue the series. The Fifth Wave is a book I would definitely recommend to teenagers who are looking for a good sci-fi book.

Blog 1 - Text to Self
I am reading the book Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. This book is part 1 in a series of books about a small town boy who falls for the “new girl” in town. Only this isn’t any regular girl. She is a “castor” or a witch, she has special powers. When she moves into town they realize they have a strong connection. The problem is she is different from everyone else. When she turns 16 fate decides whether she will be a dark or evil castor or a light castor. The closer it gets to her 16th birthday the crazier both of their lives get.
I had a strong connection to Lena this story. No, I am not a castor with magical powers or anything but she is different. Now, because she is different she isn’t treated very nice by her peers at school. When I was in middle school I had peers that weren’t so nice to me. They would tease me because I didn’t have the brand name clothes or because I wore glasses. They made it so I didn’t want to go to school just like Lena hated going to school because the cheerleaders would make her life miserable.
At first I didn’t think I would really get into this book because it is “super natural”. I love how they brought pieces of civil war history and the history or family into the story. I was surprised by the ending because it Ethan doesn’t realize that Lena saved his life. But because she saved Ethan’s life someone else important to her died. I can definitely see why the series needs to continue. I need some resolution.
