The book I am currently reading is Insurgent by Veronica Roth. This is the second book in the Divergent series. The book starts off where the last one ended. Tris, Four, Marcus, Peter, and Caleb are going to Amity headquarters for safety. They have a vote to see if they can stay. In order to stay they can't be violent and they have to work and basically do chores to stay. Dauntless traitor's come to do a search for them and they fight their way through the compound to escape. Tris meets Four's mom who was supposedly dead. She is the leader of the factionless. They leave one of the abandoned building's and make their way to Candor headquarters. Tris and Four have to answer questions while under truth serum in front of an entire room of people. Not long after they are there Dauntless traitor's come and shoot almost everyone with tiny disk like things. They inject a blue serum that completely takes over their brain. Two of three people under the simulation jump off the roof of the compound. Every two days that they don't hand over a Divergent the same thing will happen. Tris ends up handing herself in to Erudite so that the meaningless deaths will stop happening.
This reminds me of me because I would do the same thing. If I had to I would sacrifice myself to save people I love or anyone in the world. This act shows bravery and that person will always be remembered. In the book Tris is sacrificing herself so that Jeanine will stop killing innocent people. It is not the best thing for Tris because she will be executed after Jeanine is done experimenting and doing test's on her.
I can't believe that after Tris went in that Four followed her and ended up getting beat to a pulp just to have the same experiments to happen to him.
I have seen the movies before, but I love the way you described the book. You used intense details and I would love to read this book anytime, anywhere! Awesome Job!

ReplyDeleteYou did a really good job of explaining the book, since I've already read it. Good summary.
