The raft

This book is about a young girl who is about 15 years old named Robie. She lives in Hawaii in midway.  Robie goes to her aunts apartment in Honolulu Hawaii. She explains how this is her "off time" from her parents. She originally lives in Midway and it is suppose to be a "lucky" area to live, I interrupt it as being wealthy. Robie hates it because there is no Wi-Fi, internet and television and because she is on an island its hard to communicate with her friends... we can all admit that this would be hard for us these days right?

Robie soon finds out that her aunt has some business to take care of and that she would have to stay at the apartment all by herself. Robie finds no problem with that, she would be more than happy to be alone until that night she goes out to get Mcdonald's and when she is walking back on a busy street a dirty man tries and tackles her, she manages to run and get away.

I can make a text-to-world connection to this book because there is always one big plane crash a year and one happened not to long ago in July with the Malaysia flight 370. That was a huge story and case that was investigated. The tragedy happened over the Indian Ocean and in this book the crash happened over the Pacific ocean and its about surviving with no commutation food or anything of that sort. Overall I think this book is going to be fantastic and a good read. It seems like a easy read and its not that long of a book compared to some other books, it only 231 pages.

I recommend you to read this book even though I'm not finished with it but I can tell you already it's going to be a good one.

Water Walker - Text to World

Eden is hurt/confused with no way out. Water Walker by Ted Dekker has the tables turning when you least expect it. Zeke (someone living with them) broke Edens leg and locked her in a closet. Her mom is scared and didn't want any of this to happen. Eden, as she is sleeping meets the "Outlaw" a man who tells her she is a water walker, and she needs to have no fear. Confused on what happened in her dream and in real life, she realizes her leg was healed. All she needs to do is unlock her potential and end the plans of Zeke.
This reminds me of a time in history when a girl was kidnapped for years. She got tired of it and fought back from her kidnapper and was able to escape. This is similar to Water Walker because Eden and her mother overthrow Zeke and get the cops to find them. Also, this reminds me of the boy who claimed he saw heaven and came back. Eden does this in her dream and comes back to be able to walk on water.
I wish that Eden and her mother stay together after all of this trouble. I was surprised to see the Outlaw in her dream, and for her dream to be real. If I was Eden I would just walk out of the entire place due to all of the confusion.

Warriors: Midnight- Text to World

I am reading the book called Warriors Midnight by Erin Hunter. This book is mainly about a cat named Brambleclaw and five other cats. After receiving a prophecy from Starclan, they must journey to the Sun Drown place (Ocean) to speak to someone named Midnight. There were only four cats chosen one from each clan, Feathertail (Riverclan),Crowpaw (Windclan), Tawnypelt (Shadowclan), and Brambleclaw (Thunderclan). But some unexpected guests decide to tag along, Stormfur and Squirrelpaw. Now I would tell you about Midnight but that would spoil the book so, yeah not gonna tell you.

A way that Warriors: Midnight is connected to the world well the entire Warriors franchise reminds me of the Civil War. Why? Well it reminds me of the Civil War because they are all supposed to get along, but no they end up fighting each other at the wrong times. Starclan means for them to be on huge group but, they decide to leave and make groups of their own. Eventually they will be forced to unite as one and be a huge group. But hey i'm not the author so I will never know.

So this book blew my mind when I finished it. But I ain't gonna tell you what happens. Honestly, my favorite character so far is definitely either Purdy or Squirrelpaw. I like Purdy because he is old and has absolutely no clue what is going on. I also like Squirrelpaw because its Squirrelpaw, and she wishes to be a bird so yeah. This book isn't as violent as the other book, I mean this is the first book without a death on the very first page! So you should definitely read this book if you like sarcastic humor and adventure.
THE HEAT
The heat is gist lick baseball there is ruining and more cool stuff. and then you read something happens to the person paying it is bad. it was That STOL money.and they called for the cop and the cop got the person they STOL.

Text to World Connection- the raft

In my book, The Raft, a girl named Robie went to Honolulu to visit her Aunt Jillian, but then her aunt got a business call to go back to Midway Atoll. Robie begged AJ, aunt Jillian, to stay in Honolulu by herself. She finally got to stay. After a while, she booked a flight to go to Midway Atoll and her plane crashed! Now she has to survive with Max, the co-pilot, on a raft on the Pacific ocean.

This book reminds me of real world because planes crash and you have to hope to be saved and signal people. People have to survive on water because they either are stranded or maybe their plane crashed. This book also reminds me of the movie Sully because the plane crashes in water and people are trying to save them.

I began to think about how they crashed in the Pacific Ocean and how there are sharks. I think they might encounter some sharks and dehydration. I also wonder if they could survive these horrible conditions.

Ninth Ward

The book Ninth Ward  is about a 12 year old girl named, Lanesha, she lives the Ninth Ward in New Orlens. She lives with her to her grandmother (because her mother died when she was born) in the poorer part of New Orlens, but the other members of her family live in the nice rich part of New Orleans. She is bullied at school because of her eyes and other features, but she doesn't care. One thing that is special about her is because she can see ghost. When a hurricane comes to New Orleans, Lanesha and her grandmother have to find a way to stay safe.

The Ninth Ward relates to the real world because it is about a family trying to stay safe during hurricane, Katrina. This book relates to the real world because hurricane Katrina was an acutel hurricane that is still one of the most remembered tropical storms in The United Staes. There were many families that were trying to save their friends and other family from the tropical storm, which Lanesha's family was trying to do. Many families came upon struggles in hurricane Katrina, but they could face them. I am only In the middle of the book where the storm is coming, but I have not heard about any problems or struggles that relate to the storm at this point.

The Ninth Ward is a great book to pair with the world. It is a great book to pair with the world because it is base a a true event that happend to millions of people. The book defiantly talks about most of th things that all families in New Orleans experience during one of the worst tropical storms Ed it's I. The United States.

I am reading My Hairiest Adventurers written by rlstine.com. My book relates to the really world because he is having a hared time at school when he finds out he has grown hair on his hands. He finds outta that it is his tern to do a book report in front of the entire class that he has hair all over his hand .So what he did was go out of class and get gloves from his locker.when he came back to class know one know test the nasty black hair on his hands.
What is weird about this story is that strange things happen to him as he grows up. When he was little the doctors found out that he can't sweat. So if he gets over heated it could really hurt him.As he got older he notes dogs had started chasing him  for know resin.Few weeks after the dog intended he grow hair on his hand and ever time he shaves it of even more grows back. I have not read the whole book yet but it seems like he mite be a wolf.

Text to World Blog-Lunar Chronicles

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa  Meyer is all about  bunch of different fair tales twisted and put in the future. The first book in the series is called Cinder about a cyborg named cinder who is pretty much Cinderella if you did not realizes. Then the next  book is about Scarlet/Red Riding Hood and Wolf. The story is kind of similar to Little Red Riding Hood except the aliens and cyborgs. The next book is all about Cree who is almost completely like Rapunzel. She was locked up in a satellite to track down Cinder a Lunar fugitive and by the way Lunars are the aliens who live on Luna. Then there is Winter a girl who the stepdaughter of Queen Levena of Luna. They all work together to get Cinder the rightful are to the Lunar throne on the throne and stop Levena from taking over earth. This probably sounds like the weirdest story ever but it is awesome, full of action, adventure and a little love on the side.I definitely recommend this science fiction book to everyone.
The more minor problem on Luna is the discrimination towards Shells who are unable to be controlled manipulated by other Lunars. This is very similar to how people treated African-American  people before the 60's when Martin Luther King Jr. helped stop discrimination to African-Americans. Cinder is almost a representation of him because she helps stop it and makes Luna and earth a better place to live. The Lunars also are mean and think humans are worthless. They are payed less than a Lunar who has the same job as them on Luna. This reminds me of how women are payed about a twenty percent less then men are payed in our society. This was not fixed in the story and in the real world. Levena also reminds me of Hitler who kept his followers stupid so they would follow him without thought. Levena does the same thing but in the end Cinder shows them what she really does.
I love the way the other took a bunch of fairy tales and makes them in the future, it makes the books even more interesting and exciting.I always felt sad if someone died or something terrible happened to a character but that very rarely happened in the books. The character I admire most is Scarlet because no matter what she does what is right, stand by her friends and never gives up a fight. This story is amazing you should definitely read it if you love science fiction or any fiction. This book seems like it would appeal more to girls but even if you are boy read it! This book helped me make lots of prediction and even think up some fan fiction. You will love this boo if you read it so do read it!

Blog 3 Text to World- Harry Potter

The book I am reading is called Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone by J.K. Rowling. It is about a boy who lives with the Dursleys. Harry is treated like junk there and never has celebrated his birthday. One day when he is turning 11 he gets a letter saying from Hogwarts that he was accepted at a school that teaches Witchcraft and Wizardry. His uncle keeps on burning the letters and won't let him go. At midnight he turns 11 and a giant named Hagrid takes Harry in and sends him to Hogwarts. Harry goes to Diagon Alley and gets all his supplies and sees in the newspaper that Gringotts bank has been robbed but nothing was stolen. Harry goes to Hogwarts and meets new friends and the goal of the year is to win the house cup by whoever has the most points. (You can earn points by being good) Through out the year Harry experiences weird things happening like a wizard trying to bring Voldemort, a dead wizard, who killed Harrys parents. If he manages to get the Sorcerers Stone there is no stopping him. (Tried to steal it in bank) It can make you live forever but with a cost. Harry and his friends have to stop the wizard from bringing Voldemort back and win the House Cup without failing their team.

The book I read reminds me of the world right now and before because in the book everyone comes together and puts an end to something. In some wars right now and before there has been alliances working together to stop the bad guy. In the book everyone at Hogwarts groups together and some help Harry on his quest to stop Voldemort from coming back and participating in the House Cup. In World war II countries came together to stop Hitler and put the end to The Holocaust. This is a good example because they collided and its perfect for seeing that some of this happened in the Harry Potter book.

Harry Potter is one of the best books I have ever read. There is so much to say about it I can't say it all. I wish I didn't have any homework so I could read it in 1 day. I loved the way J.K. Rowling organized the story and the plotline she made. This story teaches readers to never give up and never lose hope. I recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy genres. I would say this is for all people to read and everyone would enjoy it. If you want to find out if Harry can stop the wizard who is bringing Voldemort back to life and win the House Cup for his team you should read this book.

Text to World Connection: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

Have you ever met anyone who seems peculiar? Like a boy with the body of a dog, two unusual clown twins, a levitating girl, and maybe even an invisible boy? Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, by Ransom Riggs, is about a sixteen year old boy named Jacob Portman whose grandfather (Grandpa Portman) is old and seems a little confused. All of Jacob's life, Grandpa Portman tells Jacob stories of when he was a boy. He used to live in Poland during World War II, where monsters chased him away from his family and he had to run away. He wound up on an island called Cairnholm, Cairnholm harbored Miss Peregrine's orphanage, where Grandpa Portman stayed till he was probably Jacob's age. On this island, you never age. To get back to reality, Grandpa Portman calls Jacob while Jacob's at work and tells him that monsters are coming for him. Of course, Jacob doesn't believe him anymore since he's older now. Grandpa Portman insists that Jacob unlocks his gun cabinet (which Jacob's father locked so Grandpa Portman couldn't get to it) so he can defend himself. Jacob said to calm down, he would not unlock the cabinte, and he will be on his way in a minute. His friend, Ricky, shows up and drives Jacob to his grandfather's. When they get there, Jacob goes in the house and Grandpa Portman is nowhere to be seen. He fled the seen with papers a strewn all over the house, cabinets open, furniture ripped open, and the gun cabinet dented. Jacob looks at the screen door in the back and sees a huge gash in it. Jacob immediately starts running to the forest behind Grandpa Portman's house and looks for him. He runs through a crowd of bushes and finds Grandpa Portman laying face down, bleeding out and dying. Jacob runs to him and holds him up. Grandpa Portman says his last words by telling Jacob to go to the island and gives him a lot of tiny clues that Jacob will eventually find. What will happen next?

This book is related to another past event in history. Specifically, during World War II. Like in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, World War II had many kids who got seperated from their families during that time period because of the Nazis invasion. In the book, Abe Portman (Gradnpa Portman) ended up on Cairholm island to stay with Miss Peregrine. During World War II, many kids were sent off to live somewhere else to get away from the counrties being invaded. In the book, Abe was sent off with only a suitcase and the clothes on his back and never saw his parents again. During World War II, parents sent off their kids to have a good life and knew that they weren't going to make it. Truly, that is so sad to think about.

I love the way the author described the sorrow Grandpa Portman had when he told Jacob about his childhood. Although, Grandpa Portman only revealed a tiny bit of information which kept you more interested in why he didn't tell Jacob everything. Ransom Riggs really got me intrigued till the very end. He did a great job relating the story with real life history events. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is an amazing, thrilling, fantastic book that you have to read.

Text to World / Nevermore

                                                                   Nevermore
The book i'm reading is Nevermore by James Patterson , and in this book the main character Max figures out she has been living in lies from the world and her closest of friends are keeping deep and dangerous secrets from her. Max and her friends (Dlyan, Fang, Nudge, Iggy, Gazzy) are now going on a trip to find a long lost friend named Angel she was a member of there pack and they have now figured out that mad scientist have been using her for experiments. When they arrived at the Lab they found Angel traumatize and worried her wings were cut off but in relief she figures out the scientist put a drug to hallucinate the torture. When they get back to there house in Nino Pierpont Max is dealing with the pressure of Fangs arrival, fining Angel ,Max's and connection with Dylan. I moments later Max's evil half brother and Jeb found her and her friends, Max does everything to protect her and her pack, including nocking out Jeb with one punch. But during the fight Dylan was missing so Fang was fighting Ari. When Dylan arrived he swooped in and took  Fang away from Ari to fight. Fang not done with Ari but very hurt he stays to protect Max. Max worried about Dylan and Fangs condition stops fighting . While the rest of the pack fights but isn't able to hold them off. Max notices Dylan fighting Ari and sees his injuries and gets very worried but is way to distracted with Ari's minions (Erasers). Dylan trying to stay alive is having a hard time with Ari but hears a voice that tells him to finish Ari for Max. Right at that moment he punches Ari and wipes him out. Max going to attack the Erasers then figures out that they were some how connected to Ari and Died when Ari did. Dylan is really satisfied , but hears the voice angina and it tells him to attack Fang. So that's what he did, then see's Max crying telling him to stop. When Dylan finally removed his fingers from Fangs neck , then realize what he did and leaves in a hurry because Max yelled at him. There is still a lot of more have not been able to finish it.

Nevermore is connected to the world by the setting and problem. In the book the setting is in the state Oregon which is a real state in America. The problem is connected to real world because every civilian has thought the government or other people are keeping death defining secrets. In Nevermore there was a war between Max and Ari but was resolved, that's like here we resolve are problems. The book Nevermore is quite familiar to the real world but is very different.

In the book Nevermore I like the way the author made the text so familiar to the real world but so very different. I noticed that Max is like and ordinary girl but different because she can fly. I wonder why the Author used such short names that are very different like Gazzy or Nudge? I would recommend this book to all ages , the author makes in familiar to all ages with the characters, problems and solution and I really enjoy that.

Blog 3

I am reading the book called The House Of Hades by Rick Riordan and it is about how Percy and Annabeth fall into Tartarus and have to reach the Doors Of Death to escape. The problem is that the Doors Of Death must be opened on both side so the other 5 teens go on a journey to find the doors of death so they can free Percy and Annabeth and stop the rise of Gaea.
This reminds me of the world because everyone must work together to accomplish something very important. Lets say that one country stop trading certain goods then this would cause a problem. This also reminds me of my friends because we all help each other to accomplish one huge goal! This why I think the house of hades is like the real world.
In conclusion The House Of Hades can be like other real world events such as trading and working with friends to accomplish a huge goal. This Is why the House Of Hades is like the Real World!
                                                                 "RUNAWAY  TWIN"
ASHLEY BECERRA
A Quick little summary about "Runaway twin"  is that during ten years of living in foster homes, Sunny ha always yearned to be reunited with her long lost twin sister. So finally when she gets the chance to leave, Sunny eager to make the cross-country trip to find her other half. But her quest quickly becomes complicated when she rescues an abandoned dog, runs into bullies, and has to escape a life-threatening tornado!
It was also mostly about when Rita found out her grandma and grandpa got in a auto crash. And noticed that her twin sister was there at that time and her abounded dog. Rita was crying because she didn't know any stuff at that time. At least one week later she realizes her twin sister and the abounded dog can still be alive. But noticed her grandpa and grandma died because they were in the front passengers seats which didn't give them safety but also wanted to keep the others safe. Later that day when it happened Rita has went to the foster homes because when they died Rita didn't have anyone else at that time but now she got adopted by another family that takes care of her and keeps her safe. Also when the auto crash happened and found out her twin sister and abounded dog was alive still. She's been going to everyone house and talking to each neighbor if they new who she was.

Jillian's Text To World Blog

Return Of The Mummy

This is not really connected to real life but it has some simaleraties. Some people believe if you say things more than once or as many times you shouldn't. But this book as a similar kinda thing, if you say something more than once or three times. The mithacal monster came alive after it was said at least five times then it had came alive, as some people if you say it more than once.
Also some people have visited Egypt perymids and have not discovered whats in them but have took pictures of the perymids, as in the story. Some people have gone in the periymds to discover where and what might be in them, as in the story.

TEXT TO WORLD BLOG

For this blog, I will be doing a Text To World comparison. In my book, The Kill Order, the main problem is a disease. The characters, Mark and Alec, must make it to the mysterious "Headquarters" of the PFC. They need to take another girl, DeeDee, there because she is immune to the flare. They face many obstacles on their way, including the Flare and sun radiation.

The Flare is a strange, futuristic, manmade disease first given out as population control in the form of infected darts. The Flare, once it infected you, turned you crazy. Sometimes, to the point where you are not even human anymore. At first, it would kill you instantly, but others could catch the disease around your body. Then, The Flare evolved to infect you for longer before killing you, making itself spread more efficiently. Some people, called Munies, are immune to the flare.

I am comparing this crazy, unrealistic disease to another disease in real life - Cancer. Cancer can't spread, but is still deadly. Cancer can be treated, and so can the flare, though both have a high cure rate. Both have physical symptoms, and both have mental symptoms. Both of them infect cells in your body. The Flare infects only your brain, and some types of Cancer infect your brain.

As you can see, the dystopian, fictional disease does, in fact, have similarities to real life. Though there are not many, they are still there. I hope you enjoyed reading this essay! If you liked it, leave a comment down below. Can you think of any other similarities that The Flare has to the real world?

The music of dolphins

                                                       The Music of Dolphins

Have you read the book The music of dolphins? This book is by Karen Hesse and is a award winning book of Newbery medalist. This story is about a little girl named Mila getting trapped in a island and she is protected by dolphins when they raise her. Everyone is looking for her and she is scared and worried if she will make it back home to her family. If you like to read mystery books you will like this book that she trying to find her family.
In the story an child gets lost on a island and has to learn to survive and speak. In the real word children are getting lost and some are not found then can't find their family's. How Mila couldn't talk many kids can't talk from sickness and cases like autism. How they didn't want Mila in the water to her home like parents don't like having kids by water in cases of drowning and falling in. This book has lots of trying to survive like the real world and trying to help each other out.
This story is about a girl Mila how is growing up with dolphins and trying to learn to speak. She is going throw lots of avengers and fingering out that she is a girl not a dolphin from being raised by them. She lives under water like a fish, she tried to eat what they eat and wants to be a dolphin but wonders if she will find her family. This story is very sad to see if she can find her family and scary when she has to go to get a way to shelter.I would say this book has changed the way I see serving an trying to find food in the wild life.

The book I am reading is Crossed by Ally Condie, this is the next book in the Matched trilogy. This book is about a Cassia being sent into the outer Providences and determined to find the one she loves, Ky. Even though she loves Xander too, her match, she wants to be with Ky more. Cassia secretly goes on an airship with a roommate and is sent closer to Ky, but she's not sure about that, yet. When she finally reunites with Ky, it's not the same as before. There's a secret that about Xander that will change her life forever.

When the village was attacked by the Enemy unexpectedly, is similar to when both the North and South World Trade Centers were hit by airplanes. It was a normal day for both of them, then the village was burned down to the ground and so were the Twin Towers. To add on to this, when Ky used the explosives to make the stream bigger, he ended up flooding two houses with all the water. This is like the floods that are happening in the South-East lately and people have no homes to go to anymore.

I wonder why Ky doesn't want anything to do with the Rising? I think it's because his father was in the Rising and he died having a meeting with all the people that believed he was the pilot. That means he might have been the leader of it all and the Rising are the people that are against the society. On the other hand I really liked Cassia finally found Ky down in the plains while she was up in he canyon. She pointed up into the sky just to make sure it was him and it was. I was surprised to see that the society kept all the DNA samples of all the people that are living there except for Aberrations and Anomalies. Then Hunter, a friend, smashed all of them because that's what he thought was right and everyone agreed with it.
http://sharondraper.com/ I am reading the book Out of my Mind, By:Sharon Draper. This is a story of a young girl who has life at the roughest. She can't go to the bathroom alone, she can't dress herself, she can't feed herself or hold a drink by herself. She has just a horrible life. The wants to speak so much and she is a very intelligent child, but due to her disability she can't show it. Her neighbor teaches her many valuable things, but one day she found something amazing for Melody. She found a machine that allows Melody to talk! Now she can talk and interact with talk with all the other normal kids in her class.

Many kids in the past and present have disabilities. In the past the doctors and medical people did not have very advanced medical supplies to help make life easier for those people. Now in the present, we have a ton of new medial supplies. For people in the military, when in battle, if they loose a leg or arm, we have a way to give them that body part back so they can function like everyone else. Sadly, we have no way to stop children and adults from having disabilities, but with all our medial research, we can help them live a normal life.

This story teaches that even if you have a rough life, it can always get better. I observed that Penny(her little sister) gets more attention from her mom and her mom leaves her dad to do everything for Melody. I felt sad when her mother was crying because of the way Melody turned up. I wish that there was a was to cure diversities, so that they could live a normal life.

blog 3-Princess Academy

My book is Princess Academy by Shannon Hale. This is a story about a girl named Miri that goes to an academy to become the princess and have the prince. She faces a challenge to save her classmates. She struggles to find the special idiom. She lives in a castle where she has her academy and tries to solve everything she runs into.

The problem in this story is to find the idiom that will save her friends and classmates and to become the princess. In real life doctors need to try to find something that will help people. They are both trying to find something and trying to serve others. This is simulator to the book because they are both doing close to the same thing, but very different at the same time.

This story teaches you to be strong and keep going even when its hard. Miri and doctors do this. They help out even when its hard, even when people are not believing.

Text To World Sky Raiders

The book that I am reading is called Five kingdoms by Brandon Mull.  In the book Cole and his two best friends get kidnapped at a haunted house on Halloween. They make him go in a portal that leads to another land called The Outskirts. Their are five kingdoms in the land and the kingdom he went to was Sombria. He get sold as a slave to Sky Raiders who still valuable items from floating castles. But sadly his friends go to other masters. He finally escapes with his new best friends and tries to beat the evil monster Carnage that has been terrorizing the land. If you want to know what happens next you will need to read the book.
The problem in this book is vary similar to a world crises. In the book Cole gets kidnapped and that is a problem that happens in the world today. You could get kidnapped on Halloween in real life if you aren't careful. With Halloween coming in a month we need to be careful of what we do and we need to be prepared too.
I think the setting is important because if it was in are world then there would not be as much wonder and magic in the book. If it was intertwined with this world like Harry Potter then the author would half to make up something that enplanes why humans can see all that is happening. Like mist or dust or magic that makes you forget. One of the reason I relay like it is because it is original and you will too.

Text to World- The 5th Wave

I am reading the 5th Wave series by Rick Yancey. This story is about an alien invasion. Cassie Sullivan and her little brother, Sam, are trying to find each other. It is a tough challenge for Cassie to find Sam. She tries to stay hidden but finds trouble. She also battles a gunshot wound to her leg. But, will she survive long enough to see her brother again?
I can connect this book to War of the Worlds. When they made the live broadcast of War of the Worlds, people started to panic. In the 5th Wave, people started to panic when they saw the mothership for the first time. They really panicked when the first wave hit. In War of the Worlds, everything was fake, but in the 5th Wave, everything is really happening and the world is really ending.
In conclusion, War of the Worlds relates to the 5th Wave in many ways. Although it is hard to make connections to the real world with a book about an alien invasion, it's entirely possible. You just have to thinker deeper. I made connections to many different things such as, other books, movies, the real world, and myself. I definitely recommend this book.

They were separated because their parents died when they were young and she wants to find her. Sunny lives in Nebraska and runs away from her foster home to Washington to try to find her sister. She takes a bus and walks all the way there. On the way, there is something life threatening that happens to Sunny! Will she find her sister or will she not make it and have to go back to Nebraska?

In Runaway Twin Sunny gets jumped and they almost take all of her money and in real life people steal from other people. Another connection is in real life people help animals just like in the book when Sunny helps a stray dog. Another connection I can make to the real world is that in real life people get in foster homes even if they don't treat them right and in the book Sunny got put in a foster home where she was treated like a slave. Those are a few of text to world connections.

I think this book had a lot of suspense and was interesting. I also think it had emotion which makes this book more fun to read. I hope you will try reading this book, it was a really good book.

Text To World: Liberty Porter First Daughter

The book I am reading in class is Liberty Porter First Daughter by Julia Devillers. Liberty's dad had just became president and she is nervous to be the First Daughter. She overcomes the challenges of this new life and has fun with it. She is a wild little nine-year-old who just wants to have a good time. She has a handful of challenges ahead of her that she will need to face.

This is happening in our world today because we have a President too. The President has to look out for the country and help us be safe. We not only have a President but we also have a First Daughter, First Son, and a First Lady! Also, in the book this family goes through challenges and we sometimes have challenges in our families too. We all have to try and figure out how to solve our problems.

In conclusion, this book relates to the real world because we have a President that takes care of our country.

Text to world Insurgent

The book I am reading is Insurgent by Veronica Roth. In the book the escape's have gone to 4 different places to hide and take refuge. Only 2 of the spots were safe from Erudite and Dauntless traitors. These two places were the Factionless buildings and the old Dauntless headquarters. When they were in Amity headquarters Erudite and Dauntless came to search for anyone who had escaped from the attack. At Candor headquarters a couple dozen Dauntless soldiers came to take Divergent hostages for Jeanine Matthews (Erudite leader).
This is happening in the world right now because some countries are having wars and are forcing people out of their homes. They are now coming to America and other countries that aren't by their old country. Now the military from other countries are illegally coming to search for them. People are losing their homes daily due to these conditions and horrible tragedies. People are also being executed and taken as hostage in other crimes that have happened over the years. The most recent up-rise like in Insurgent is with terrorist groups.
I hope that the killing and taking hostages would stop because once we grow up and are running the country and world it will be war-torn.

Text to text: The Midnight Library

The book The Midnight Library: Liar includes three separate ghost stories. The first one is called liar. When Lauren creates a lie, it comes back to haunt her and self creates a monster.

The second ghost story in the book is Tickets Please which is the shortest of them all and also happens to be the story that Katarina and I are doing a book review on. It is when two boys Craig and Brian get onto a train without valid tickets, hears some scary stories themselves and they end up at a very final destination. The last story in the book is the most long and most suspenseful.

Killing Time is about Alexis attending a dangerous drama class where the drama is no act.

Allen (the author) goes by many different names on the front cover of his books. The name that he uses for The Midnight Library:Liar is Damian Graves. He goes by many other different names as well. Some of them are unidentified names.

I love the way that there was three stories in the one book insted of it all just being together.

Models don't eat chocolate COOKIES

                  Models don't eat chocolate COOKIE
By:ERIN DIONNE
Book- Models Don't Eat Cookies
A summery what I have read in "models don't eat chocolate COOKIES" was a teenage girl Celeste who her mom would always go to the mall and by lotion and perfume and the place was called HUSKY PEACH. And the husky peach people had called the mom right after she got home and what they said was "hey this is the husky peach and since you've been coming to our store and buying stuff i want to let you know that i want your daughter to be in our modeling session and most often i don't do this to people but i want Celeste to be in it.The mom said of course i would love to have my daughter to  be in it first ill call you later and talk to her and she said bye. The mom went in Celeste room and talk to her and Celeste said No. The mom went out of the room and called the modeling people and made Celeste do it but Celeste don't know.

So here's the quick summary of whats it about her mom signed Celeste up to do the modeling she got invited to another one and that one was called the husky peach so they went there then Celeste's mom made her do it and she said fine cause that's the only way that would make her become popular so she did it. Then she just eats tone of calories such as cookies and keeps eating it and realizes she is fat so then she exercises lout and then losses at least 20 pounds and so that way lively wouldn't make fun of her cause shes fat but when she used top be fat the husky peach made a new of her which means talk  lot hows she fat in all but when she is skinny they don't really do anything now they would say just keep it up and do what your doing. So then she hears that her aunt is having a wedding ans notices she had a competition so then that day she does two things at once. And then that what the quick summary is about.

SO THEN THAT's WHEN THE MODEL DON'T EAT COOKIES ANYMORE !!!!

Jillians blog

Gabe is the main character he has a good brain and has a special little mummy hand. He is just visiting his uncle that likes to explore things in the summer like pyramid. Gabe is finding out what he likes and what is weird in Egypt. His only friend at the pyramid is his cousin. Gabe he has had a good time there at the pyramid.
There is many twist that are coming into the book but it is good so far and good to read. In the middle of the book is usually when the books  get  into the twits and turns. Right now is when everything is getting good and not many twist but there is some weird things happening. I'm very glad i got to get to read this book because i am getting to like books more.
I am reading a book Goosebumps BY: R.L. Stine called Egg Monsters From Mars. The charterers in this book so far is Brandy,Dana,Anne,Mom,and Dad. The main character out of the hole book is Dana  he is a kid how is into science and on his sisters birthday she had a egg hunt so him and his friend Anne had a cutest to see how could collect the most eggs.

His strategy to find the most eggs was to go were nobody less was. He found an egg not knowing it would Chang his life. The egg he found was green with blue and red veins pulsing out of it. All the sodden some one yelled egg fight and ever one when crazy. He wonted to show his friend Anna but she was participating in the egg fight . So he when up stars and put it in his dower because he wanted to anglicize it later .

The next day he heard a weird crack . He looked in the dower and  saw the egg was hatching . It was a gross yellow blob and he wonted to show his friend. She though it was a gross pile of rotten eggs so her mom was about to put in down the sink but then all the sudden.

                  The Mark Of Athena

The Mark of Athena is unlike other books but it can be compared to so books in the world. The Mark Of Athena is like the Hunger Games by Suzzane Collins. The Hunger Games is about a girl named Katnis who gets picked for the annual hunger games. In this event you have to find weapons and survive the wilderness and try not to get killed by the other opponents. In the Mark Of Athena 7 teens embark on a journey to stop the rise of Gaea and the destruction of Rome. These teens are special because they are demi-gods so each one of them has special powers to help fight.

The Hunger Games reminds me of The Mark Of Athena because they both contain tons of action and fighting. In both story's there is tons of non-stop action and amazing fights that make you want to keep on reading and never stop. There also alike because Annabeth struggles to survive the obstacles in the way of reaching what she needs and she finds a way to survive. Katnis also finds a way to survive by using her survival skills and trying her hardest to survive.

In conclusion I think you should read both books because they are full of action and both are really interesting to read. This is why I think you should read this and how these two books are alike each other.

million dollar throw is gist lick million dollar arm and it is lick this kids that gone a football games.and this peephole and fined this kid that can throw  and it is the this that need and they bet them back to there.and then if they dint now how to throw  they treat them to throw and it was a good move

Water Walker - Ted Dekker

The book about mystery and confusion, Water Walker, by Ted Dekker, is a story about a girl learning about her past and who she is. Last time she got taken by her real father and had the F.B.I. searching for her. The police force had Alice/Eden slip through their fingers when they escaped by a few minutes to never be seen again. Alice/Eden has met her biological mother who is crazy about her being pure. Her feet cannot touch the ground, she needs to be baptized regularly, and does plenty of rituals. It's been five years and she's been going through this.

The scene when the F.B.I. bust into the house they were in minutes ago, reminds me of a similar scene in Hacker where the F.B.I. breaks in to arrest the hacker. The character from hacker reminds me of Alice/Eden because they both don't fit in because they both have something special that no one else has.

If I were Alice/Eden at this point I would've done anything I could to escape rather than sit there and let it just happen for no reason. I observed Alice/Eden accepted that she was being taken and decided to just see how things unfold. I'm not sure if she has any chance of escaping but the book IS called Water Walker.

Dont Tell Anyone- Text to Text

The story I have been reading is called Don't Tell Anyone by, Peg Kehret. This book is about a girl named Megan that loves animals and she is trying to save these feral cats in a open field by her house. Megan also witnesses a hit and run car accident were the driver, Lacey drives away in the accident so all that she has been working for is down the drain. Soon after, Megan finds out a company is building a apartment building where the cats live and stops the construction. This criminal named, Shane tries to make Megan trust him and ends up kidnapping her. What will happen to Megan and her cats?

The scene where Megan takes care of this ladies dog ( the one that got in the car accident) reminds me of the book called Escaping the Giant Wave by Peg Kehret because in that book they take this couples dog because they have to get higher up the mountain before the tsunami comes. The scene where Megan is upset about her cats almost dying reminds me of a book called Runaway Twin where she is sad about losing her sister named Starr. Another connection is where in Runaway Twin she found a stray dog and took him with her on her journey to find her sister and in Don't Tell Anyone she treats the feral cats like her own. Those are a few text to text connections i can make with this book.

I love the way this author loves animals and puts animals into her stories which I love. I hope you would want to read her books too.

In One for the Murphy's , Carley the main character, is an independent, curious, and spontaneous. All the characters in this book have many different treats and qualities that separate themselves from each other. One for the Murphy's is full of many different details that make the book very interesting and more appealing to the eye. The book cover is also very colorful and makes you wonder about the book. One for the Murphy's does very much, remind of the book Deep Dark and Dangerous.

This book reminds of Deep Dark and Dangerous because of the description and details used in both stories. One key detail that I noticed in both books was that the main characters lived temporarily with people that are not their biological parents. Ali the main character in Deep Dark and Dangerous, lived in the summer with her aunt and cousin. Carley the main character in One for the Murphy's lived with a foster family for a period of time. Another reason why these two books connect is because the are both very close in age, Ali was 13 and Carley was 12 making them have some of the same thoughts and feelings. The two books are similar because in the books both main characters got angry or upset with another character, Ali had a few problems with either her little cousin or the Sissy the spirit that comes to get revenge. Carley, got in the big argument with Daniel that caused her to run away and she had some problems with Mrs.Murphy because she wanted to call her mom.

One for the Murphy's and Deep Dark and Dangerous are two books that have absolutely nothing the same by just scamming through the pages, but once you take a long look at both of them you might find more in common than you think that you would. I bet that one book that you are reading right now has many details and key parts that are in a book that you have previously read (not  books in a series).  There are many other similarities between these two stories but there are also so many differences that make each story unique.

Deliruim- Text to Text

Have you ever thought what the world would be out without love, if your parents only took care of you as duty not as their love for you? Well in the book Delirium, by Lauren Oliver she does just that, she takes our world and strips love away from everyone at the age eighteen. After the procedure you are almost lifeless no love only duty towards your children, husband and other family members. This in my opinion is terrible but there are the people that don't one young girls name is Lena. She is an orphan that was taken in by her aunt. Her sister Rachael has already received the cure and Lena can not wait for her procedure. She and her friend Hana wait eagerly until the disease is gone from their veins. Then something happens. Lena meets a boy named Alex. She falls in love and that is a crime and a disease called delirium. Will she survive with her lover or be cured and never feel love again read the series to find out.
This book reminds me of the book the Hunger Games surprisingly. Katniss goes through the similar hardships with Peeta to keep her love and stay alive. This book also reminds me a bit of the Selection Series because America has to fight hard in different ways but still has to fight to keep her love and not taken away from him. Alex reminds me of Maxon from the Selection Series who tries his hardest to keep his love and make her happy even when she thinks it is impossible. Almost every love story ever written is about staying with who you love. This is bit older book but it does remind me of the Princess Bride because throughout it the whole book is about keeping together with who you love no matter the stakes.
In this book I love the way that everyone is scared of those who fall in love. I have to admit it make me laugh a little how terrified the people are of getting delirium. I wish that the book did not end on a cliff hanger but that is just what happens when it is a series. It amazes me how quickly the author can make the characters point of view change on the subject and it still makes so much sense. I like Lena because how determined she is to get what she wants and what is right. This book tells you to stand up for what you believe and don't sit to the side and let people live your life for you. If you do love a good romance and adventure story I highly recommend this book. Even if you don't like that sort of stuff read it anyways.

Book Text to Text Report

For my text-to-text book comparison, I chose Eye Of Minds and Maze Runner. They are by the same author, James Dashner. They both take place in the future, and both books are of the Sci-Fi genre. Both books have a lot of action in them, and both have a deep plot line. In Eye Of Minds, the characters take a journey on 'The Path'. In Maze Runner, the characters take a journey in 'The Maze'. Both books have a creepy creature- Grievers and KillSims. Both books have three main characters. That is where the similarities end though- Despite being by the same authors, they are very different!

Text to Text

I'm reading the book Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn. The part where i'm at is about how Sissy is trying to get on Ali's nerves and she is trying to trick Emma in to getting in the canoe. The doll that Sissy has is in the boat and she was teasing Emma about how she is a scaredy cat. She finally got Emma into the boat and Ali tried to stop her, but she couldn't.

The book Deep and Dark and Dangerous reminds me of a book called The Graveyard Book. Those books are alike because they are both suspenseful and a little creepy. Also, the character Ali reminds me of another character named Caroline from a different book/movie. They are both kind of the same because they are both very determined to find things out.

In conclusion, I love the way that characters and stories connect to each other. I also love the way that text is so much like other texts and the way that you can connect them.

Text to Text Insurgent, Veronica Roth

The book I am currently reading is Insurgent by Veronica Roth. This is the second book in the Divergent series. The book starts off where the last one ended. Tris, Four, Marcus, Peter, and Caleb are going to Amity headquarters for safety. They have a vote to see if they can stay. In order to stay they can't be violent and they have to work and basically do chores to stay. Dauntless traitor's come to do a search for them and they fight their way through the compound to escape. Tris meets Four's mom who was supposedly dead. She is the leader of the factionless. They leave one of the abandoned building's and make their way to Candor headquarters. Tris and Four have to answer questions while under truth serum in front of an entire room of people. Not long after they are there Dauntless traitor's come and shoot almost everyone with tiny disk like things. They inject a blue serum that completely takes over their brain. Two of three people under the simulation jump off the roof of the compound. Every two days that they don't hand over a Divergent the same thing will happen. Tris ends up handing herself in to Erudite so that the meaningless deaths will stop happening.
This reminds me of me because I would do the same thing. If I had to I would sacrifice myself to save people I love or anyone in the world. This act shows bravery and that person will always be remembered. In the book Tris is sacrificing herself so that Jeanine will stop killing innocent people. It is not the best thing for Tris because she will be executed after Jeanine is done experimenting and doing test's on her.
I can't believe that after Tris went in that Four followed her and ended up getting beat to a pulp just to have the same experiments to happen to him.

Warriors Super Edition: Bramblestar's Storm-Text to Text Blog

The book that i'm reading is Warriors Super Edition: Bramblestar's Storm. This book is about a cat named Bramblestar (Previously known as Brambleclaw). This book takes place after The Great War, which was The Dark Forest verses Starclan. After Firestar (previous leader) died Brambleclaw became Bramblestar. Now with the war over, floods from the Sun Drown place (Ocean) are threatening the clans. After the flood hits the clans are forced from their territories and face unknown dangers, such as, Badgers, foxes, and evil kittypets (house cats). Now a storm is coming, and no one knows when it will hit.

In the book their is a part where they try to help someone without asking, this reminds me of the book Seekers when the bears in the story help a entire group of bears without asking. A character named Leafpool reminds me of another character from Warriors Into the Wild their name was Spottedleaf. They were both caring cats, also they are both Medicine Cats.

Overall I think this is a great book, but you should NOT read it if you have not read any previous book leading up to this. I wish that a certain clan (I'm not gonna tell you) would just arrive already, beacause they are awesome. I felt sad when Seedpaw died, but it was very heroic she saved her sister Lilypaw from drowning in the flood. Ok, that's enough ranting, I think its a great book and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is a Warriors fan, or loves action packed books.

The 5th Wave Series- Text to Text

I am reading The 5th Wave and The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey. Both of these books are in the same series. These books are about an alien invasion. A girl named Cassie, her brother Sam, and a group of new friends are all trying to stop the invasion, save humanity, and save Earth. This is a really good book because it makes you think about a lot.
I made a connection to a short story called "The Machine Stops". It is about people who live with technology doing everything for them. In the end, everything breaks down and the have to fight to survive from scratch.  This story connects to the 5th Wave series because in both stories, they have to fight to survive without much to work off of. I also connected this book to "War of The Worlds" because in both books, they are trying to survive an alien invasion.
In conclusion, as I was reading this book, I made connections not only to books, but some movies to, I could make small little connections to things in our everyday lives, too. You can definitely relate to this book in many ways. When you make a connection, it makes you think about the similarities and differences to others things. I definitely recommend this book to teens who are looking for a good book.
The book I am reading is blizzards wake and was written by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor and it is about a girl named Kate Sterling and her mother was killed by a drunk driver which was Zeke Dexter. She refused to forgive him and wanted him dead.
This reminds me of a similar scene in a movie/season of the Grimm. The movie is about a police detective named Nick who can see people turn into monsters when they want but he cant tell anyone that he is a Grimm because then the consul will kill them. He struggles to do his job while keeping everyone safe because most of his scenes have to do with the monsters. Once he had a drunk that ran into a friend of his but turned out to be a monster, so i was reminded of Blizzards wake because Zeke was a drunk driver, they are different but it still reminds me of that book because of how intense it is.
I like the way the authors imagination works into play. She is so passionate about what she writes and puts so much detail into what she is saying or describing in her books.:)

Artemis Fowl

Artemis Fowl
In the story of Artemis Fowl They say he is very Various, intelligent and very puzzled. This book is about the life story and events that Artemis goes throw and how he lived his life. The book is about a boy many years ago and how he would have a big plan to plunge the plant.
In the story I had a text to text connection by the book because this story reminds me of The lightning Thief by how this character goes on different quest. It also reminds me of The hunger games by how strong they are and getting about to think strong. It also reminds me of Hatchet by the way he has to feed himself and he has to serve  on his self. This story also reminds me of one more book like BFG the book is about lots of avengers and lots of happiness. This book is for people how like action and big events.
Artemis Fowl is a man he his friends say he is very puzzled, intelligence and bamboozles. They get told to go on a quest to a very hard one in Egypt. They go on and find lots of big mummies  and have a lot of great hope in there self. They go throw lots of egyptian words and many traps to go throw, if they fail they can die.I am reading when he goes to the main pyramids to find the mummies trap.

This book is very good it is based on a kid named Gabe and he and his uncle go do adventures things. He and his uncle meet places to did cover ever summer, an they explore together. Gabe is a very good charter but also expresses his feelings. This book has some twist and turns like the other book i read.
I am glad i got this for my book because its a very interesting book and doesn't make people really scared but makes then want to read more. They have good turns and i want to read more books of his.

Text to Text: Nevermore

Have you ever thought the world is hiding somethings we don't all know ? This new book I am reading Nevermore by: James Patterson ,tells the readers when the world finds out something that was hidden from all humanity. The character Max has to face new problems with  fear, excitement, love, passion, and sorrow. She has to face the world with there judgment of there differences and the sickness that has been released. Max and her friends(Dylan, Angel, Nudge, Iggy and Gazzy) have been trying to fit in with humans at a regular school. But with Fang gone it has been difficult, but Dylan manages to help out. While that, Fang has been spending time with Maya, Maxes clone and others Star , Kate , Ratchet, and Holden . But when he and his pack get attacked by Ari and his Erasers. Star and Kate betrayed Fang and told Ari where they are because they wanted safety. Maya soon dies after a fight with Max's evil half brother Ari. But Ari and his Erasers have been hunting down all the special abilities and fight each one of them off. When Fang leaves his pack to deal with his sorrow, he hears a voice that tells him to go to Max and that she needs him. I have not yet finished the book so I don't know the ending yet.
The book Nevermore reminds me of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. When Maya and Ari fight, it makes me think of Harry and Lord Voldemort's fight in the 4th book. In both those scenes someone dies, in Harry Potter, right before Harry fights Voldemort, Cedric jumps to fight but dies bravely. In Nevermore Maya dies while fighting just like Cedric in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Both theses books have a secret that they hind from humanity. In Harry Potter it is the Wizard world and in Nevermore it is the people with abilities to fly, breath under water etc. These books are about different things but are so similar.

Text to Text: The Land of Stories The Enchantress Returns

The Land of Stories The Enchantress Returns

Recently I have been reading the book The Enchantress Returns by: Chris Colfer. This is the second book and the main characters are excited to be back to The Land of Stories (Alex and Conner). When they do the entire fairytale world is being terrorised by the evil Enchantress. The only way to defeat her is to make the Wand of Wonderment. It is made by the most prised possessions of the 6 most hated people in the world.
It reminds me of the story of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. In the book Harry and his friends have to find a magical wand that will defeat Lord Voldemort forever. Like Harry Potter Alex and Conner half to get this wand accepted they half to make it to.
I love the way it ends in a cliffhanger but not at the same time. In the end they beat the Entrantress (of course). But you don't know if they will ever come bak or if they do what advencher will happen.

Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn

Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn: Text To Text

Have you ever encountered an old photograph of one of your parents? Well, when thirteen year old Ali is looking through her deceased grandmother's belongings in Ali's attic, she finds an old photo of her mom, Aunt Dulcie, and... someone who's been torn out of the picture. Her grandmother's writing is on the back saying Sycamore Lake, Gull Cottage 1977, Claire, Dulcie, T... Ali is asked by her Aunt Dulcie to come up to Gull Cottage with her and Ali's cousin, Emma to babysit Emma while Dulcie works on her art. Ali graciously takes the role as babysitter and spends the summer with her aunt. While Ali's at Gull Cottage, her and Emma meet a little girl named Sissy. She seems to be strange and has a horrifying secret. Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn is a scary, incredible book that keeps you on the edge of your seat.
When Emma and Ali met Sissy, this reminded me of Welcome to Dead House by R.L. Stine (a book in the famous Goosebumps series) because the main characters move to a spooky, new house and when they are walking around the neighborhood, mysterious kids are talking to them. Sissy, in the book, always keeps on happening to appear in random places wherever Emma and Ali go, which is what exactly happens in Welcome to Dead House. When the characters are walking to school, waiting at the bus stop, playing outside their house, strange children end up near their new house, asking them unusual questions.

Thoughts I had while reading were why does Sissy keep on asking Ali weird questions about her family? And why does Sissy always where the same faded bathing suit over and over again like the children keep wearing the same outfits in Welcome to Dead House? Many questions occurred to me while reading this mind-blowing book. And soon all of my questions were answered. If you want to find out, then read Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn.

The House of Hades- Blog 2 Text to Text

 The House of Hades

The book I'm reading is called The House of Hades by Rick Riordan. The book is about seven demigods who go on an adventure to stop Gaea from destroying the world. Gaea is a god who has more power than you can imagine and she wants to rule the world with her minions. Since Percy and Annabeth fell into Tarturus they have to close the doors of death to get back to the mortal world. If they succeed the monsters they kill will die for good and never come back. The rest of the demigods have to stop the Romans and the Greeks from fighting so they can fight Gaea together and rescue Percy and Annabeth. If you want to know if Percy and Annabeth survive and defeat Gaea, check the book out.

In the book all of the characters have something to do. They all have there quests for fighting evil forces and saving each other. When I was reading this book it reminded me of Harry Potter a bit. Both of the books are fantasy and have magic and mythical creatures. In Harry Potter the characters have quests to stop the antagonist, Voldemort who wants to rule the world. Its the same in Percy Jackson because they are fighting an evil force who wants to rule world with all power possible. This is why I think the Percy Jackson Series is related to the Harry Potter series.

In the book it leaves me wondering who is going to sacrifice themselves to Gaea. Either Jason is going to die or Leo since the prophecy said. When I was reading the book I started thinking about the prophecy, "Seven half-bloods shall answer the call, to storm of fire the world must fall, an oath to keep with a final breath, and foes bear arms to the doors of death." The last part in the prophecy to me meant that a giant, titan, and demigods which are all enemies means that they will group up to close the doors of death and stop Gaea. The ending to this book was sad and another cliffhanger. I really recommend this book because it is one of the best books Rick Riordan has made.

The book I am reading is Matched by Ally Condie, this is a story about a girl named Cassia and about her life in this Society that she grew up in. The Society decides everything for her, who to love, what to eat, what to wear, and many more. Then, something goes wrong when she's being matched to the person she's going to marry. Xander pops up on the screen, as expected, and then out of the blue this guy named Ky, his fame goes on instead of Xander's. As the story goes on, she starts to wonder of Ky's face was an accident or a sign.

When Cassia has a choice to pick Xander or Ky, it would be betrayal to other person if she picked the other. This part of the book is similar to a scene in The Land of Stories A Grimm Warning by
Chris Colfer because Rook has to choose between helping his father and the other villagers or harming Alex's emotional state, it would defiantly be betrayal to the other. Cassia is like Alex because they both love someone and care deeply about them. The only difference would be that Cassia loves both Xander and Ky, so it's double the challenge.

In conclusion, I can't believe how the society sees every single thing that Cassia does especially when the official saw her not taking the red tablet when she was suppose to. I was surprised that the Society didn't see her practicing cursive with Ky when they went hiking. I always wondered why the people completely wiped out writing. Cassia didn't even know how to write before Ky taught her how with the stick in the woods.

Models don't eat chocolate cookies: Text to Text

The book I am reading in Literature Appreciation is called Models don't eat chocolate cookies, by Erin Dionne. This book is about a 13-year-old girl named Celeste that gets bullied about her large size. Her Aunt secretly enters her into a modeling competition for plus-sized girls. She does not want to go  but she decides to go for only one round, to make her mother proud. The competition starts changing her life.

Celeste kind of reminds me of the character in the book called The Runaway Twin because they both come across many problems and they both kind of have the same personality. For example, they are both scared at times, but they still go through with it. Also, Celeste is like Stargirl in the book Stargirl because they both don't really care what they wear. They both want to wear want they want and what they feel comfortable wearing. In conclusion, there are many books that compare to Models don't eat chocolate cookies.

I am reading a book called DIARY of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney http://www.wimpy kid.com/

The book is about Greg trying to get a date for the school dance which he does. but it goes completely wrong. He does get a date but he do rowdy gets the chicken pox. and in the end Greg gets the chicken pox to so its a little bit of a weird but that's how it ends.

I can relate to this book because I'm in middle school just like them. Greg got sick at the same time i did in real life like the book. Greg and i have the interests like video games and watching TV.

The Hunger Games

The Hunger games
Have you ever read the Hunger Games? The author is Suzanne Collins she writes lots of books and many series of books. This story is about  a girl named Katniss she is going to get her district 12 some food due to how poor the village was. Katniss and her sister go to see the mayor and find out how will be picked to fight for them. Her sister gets picked but she says she will go for her because she cares for her.She has to say bye to her family and go.She has to fight and uses what she knows to work out the way to win.
This character reminds me of somebody I know by my friend she works hard to get good grades and makes sure to help out like Katniss. She also reminds me of me by the way she help out other people in need of help. This situation reminds me of a similar time because when I read a book that a girls grandma was going to die she had to fight to come back and help her best friend. Katniss is very strong to fight the games and see has to help out other people on the way so she helps out a little girl with kindness. This book is very similar to my life by how the story flows and how to characters act in the story.
The Hunger Games is a story about not giving up on what you believe in.This story has text to self by comparing the story to me.I can compare the story to me when she heads to go fight she won't give up in her self so it compares to me when i had a test i would not give up on getting a bad grade or giving up.Then one person in the story got sick so she help her get better i had to do the save for my grandma. This charter is like Harry Potter in Harry Potter because the way he says he would never lie to a good friend and the  way Katniss cares for her sister.

diary of the wimpy kid

being a kid can be really  stink.and on one knows this is better than Greg Heffley, who finds himself thrust into middle school where undersized weaklings share the hallways with kids who are taller then me  and there are meaner then all the kids and there this chess touch and most of the time aver day someone git it and they give t to someone new and then they give it to someone new.and one day there this kid that had it and moved and he had it of a long time.and then they forgot about him and then they stared it a gen and then that the chess touch.and then ther was this gierl im not going to tell you.

Blog 1 Deep and Dark and Dangerous

I'm reading the book Deep and Dark and Dangerous by Mary Downing Hahn. My book is about a girl named Ali and she found a mysterious picture. It was took in 1977 at Gull Cottage. Ali see's a "T" on the back of the picture and was torn in half. Ali asked her mother about the photograph and she was hesitant about the photo and was not happy to see it. Then, her Aunt Dulcie comes to town and has some answers.

The character, Ali, reminds me of me because she is determined to find out who "T" is in the pictures and I once found a picture that was torn of my dad and his brother and then on the back it said " Chris, Scott, and S." But, the difference was that my dads picture was faded not torn and my dad answered ,unlike Ali's mom.

Text to Self, Divergent

I am reading Divergent by Veronica Roth, is a story about a girl named Beatrice who is nervous about the aptitude test. This test would tell her what faction she belongs to. She would choose her faction the next day at the choosing ceremony. There are five different factions she can get into, Abnegation which is what she is now, Dauntless, Amity, Candor and Erudite. When a person takes the test it is supposed to rule out all the factions that person doesn't belong in. Beatrice is different, she's Divergent. Divergent means that the person could belong to multiple factions. She ended up choosing Dauntless not knowing what she was going to have to do in order to get into the faction.
Tris reminds me of someone I know because they had to make a choice between different things that they wanted. She wanted to have a happy life but still the thrills of an action one. One of my friends could either choose between going to the beach or going to a water park with me. One of them is calm but still has screaming kids and hot sun, while the other one still has screaming kids but it is more fun. He chose the one that he wanted to do which was going to the water park. He knew what he wanted and what he was going to enjoy more, the same goes with Tris.
While I was reading Divergent I began to think that the other initiates were starting to notice abnormal things with Tris' results. I was surprised that she chose Dauntless because she doesn't seem like the type of person that would want to jump off a roof into the compound.
The Mark Of Athena, by Rick Riordan, is a story about 7 teens that go on adventure to save the world from the rise of Gaea. Percy,Annabeth,Jason,Piper,Hazel,Frank, and Leo travel to Rome to go underground to send Annabeth on a quest of death. Then things go wrong, This story is full of non-stop action and is filled with funny moments and thrilling battles. You will find it hard to believe that only 7 teens could complete this. This book is one of the most thrilling and exciting books you will read.In this adventure they come across many gods that you may not know or even new gods.

The books battle contain allys battling each other due to Gaeas power to control peoples minds to make them do things. These 7 teens must stop the Doors Of Death before it is too late and monsters will take over. This leaves Annabeth on a quest to save the fate of the world.

I am like Leo because Leo is smart and knows how to get people out of bad situations in this book. He always has his teams back like me,this is why Leo can relate to me in this book.I can also relate to Leo in this book because he can be clumsy sometimes, just like me.This is the reason Leo and me have alike personality traits.

Models don't eat chocolate cookies

The book that I am reading in Literature Appreciation is Models don't eat chocolate cookies by Erin Dionne.  This book is about a 13-year-old girl named Celeste who has a hard time liking the way she looks. She gets bullied for her large size. Her Aunt Doreen secretly enters her into a modeling competition for plus-sized girls. She does not want to go into the competition, but it would make her mom so proud. She ends up doing round one and goes back for round two, even though she does not want to.

Celeste reminds me of my friend because sometimes she does not like her size. Also, she doesn't care how she dresses. When they run in gym class, it reminds me of when I am in P.E and the coach has us run around the track. Celeste and I are similar because we stand up for ourselves for something we didn't do wrong. In conclusion, this book is very enjoyable and I relate a lot to it.

Text To Self - Water Walker

Have you ever thought what it would be like to not remember anything from 6 months ago? Water Walker by Tedd Dekker, is a story about a young girl named Alice who can't remember anything from 6 months ago. Lost in her thoughts almost anything could be logical at this point. She went to check the door and this odd man told her he was her father. The man went away after the mother came to check the door. Alice thinking about what has just happened, was just even more lost into her deep, deep thoughts.
This character reminds me of someone I know because they always forget what they are thinking,, but not quite as extreme as Alice. This character also reminds me of me, because I think a lot to myself when I'm bored or just need to go over something in my head. Lastly a situation of this reminds  reminds me of a situation in my life. I was little and a stranger told me he was my uncle or something along those lines and I was flat out confused. Luckily, my teacher got him to go away and I wasn't taken by my "uncle".
I was surprised how casually Alice brushed off a man just told her that he was her father and then just left. I can't believe how Alice just ignored her mom when she was trying to discuss the situation with her. Lastly, I noticed Alice might not be totally normal if she turns the other cheek to things people wouldn't, and she can't remember her past at all.

Harry Potter Series By J.K. Rowling

My book is Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix ,By J.K. Rowling . This book is the 5th book of the seven book series. Harry potter is staying at his aunt and uncle house for the summer vacation but it turns out a buzz he and his cousin get attack by dememtors. After that he figures out that he was under watch and he also got told that Dumbledore had made an army to fight Lord Voldemort. He soon goes to school which has been ruin since the new Defense against Dark art teach has taken over the school and banned him from Quidditch . Harry creates an Army and gets caught for breaking the rules. Harry has been have crazy dreams and has upcoming test called the O.W.L.S. Dumbledore Left the school and so has Hagrid, Harry Hermione and Ron all wonder and worry were they are.

Harry reminds me of my brother they both get in trouble but they never mean to. When they are taking test it reminds me of me when I take a test called Azmert. Me and my friends get caught for breaking the rules unplanned (when we don't mean to). Me and Harry are similar Because we are curious and sometimes cautions , we have people we both care about.
One For The Murphy's

One For The Murphy's  is an amazing book written by an amazing author, Lynda Mullaly Hunt. One For The Murphy's, was a  book published in 2012, winning many awards like the Nerdy Book Award winner 2012, ABA New Voice Pick 2012,  ABA Summer Picks 2013, and the really big award, Anderson Mock's Newbery Award Winner! One for the Murphy's one book that she has wrote, and the one that I am reading, and Fish in a Tree  that I am diffinitly going to read after I am done with One for the Murphy's. One for the Murphy's is about a girl in middle school that has been beaten be her stepfather. Carley, the main character, has been moved to a different home while her mother I sin the hospital, after many months, Carley has grow a love for her foster family that loves her back. She has also met an amazing friend that doesn't know about her past, but only halfway through knows what might happen?

In this book, the Murphy family reminds me of one side of my whole family. First of all it is because our name is Murphy and because some of us are really kind and would take anyone into our home if it was an emergency. Carly, reminds me of a girl that came to my old school in Nebraska that was a forgien exchange student from Korea. Which means that she lived with another family that went to our school and took care of them, and Carly was almost like a forgien exchange student too. This situation kind of reminds me of when I had to live with my aunt for a couple days while we were moving from Nebraska to Arizona.

I am in love with this book because of the incredible description and details. In this book you also notice that Carly grows a love for the Murphy's. I began to think what else could happen if I'm only half way through the book? I guess I'll just have to keep reading to find out.

Blog 1: Escaping the Giant Wave

I am reading Escaping the Giant Wave by Peg Kehret. This book is about a kid named Kyle and his sister BeeBee. Kyle, BeeBee and his parents are going to Oregon for a promotion trip. Later, Kyle releases that his enemy, Daren, is going to because there parents work for the same company. Then, when there parents are at the promotion on a boat and Kyle and BeeBee are alone at the hotel a earthquake hits! After that a fire starts it the hotel! Then, a tsunami hits Fisherman beach where they are staying! Will they survive?

In the story Kyle Babysits his little sister Beebee and I babysit my little siblings often when my parents need help. Kyle also related to me because he is the oldest and so am I, I have two younger sisters. Kyle also relates to me because he was acting like a grown up when he had to make decisions about how to get out of the hotel and if they should run uphill and i have to make decisions like that everyday and be the grownup when my parents aren't there. Kyle also had been bullied by Daren and I have been bullied before for about 2 months.

I really liked this book because it had a lot of suspense and it was interesting and I could make a lot of connections to the book. I hope you guys think this book would be interesting too.

Text To Self- The House of Hades

My book is The House of Hades, by Rick Riordan. This story is based off the previous cliffhanger where Annabeth and Percy fell into Tarturus. The book starts off as the crew thinking of a plan to rescue Annabeth and Percy and save the world from Gaea destroying the everything. When Percy and Annabeth are suffering in Tarturus they have to find there way to open the doors of death to get back to the mortal world. All of the characters come across obstacles to meet up. If they find Annabeth they have to stop a war with the Greeks and Romans. Along the way they find gods who give them hints, directions, and join there side to stop the forces of Gaea. If you want to know more you should read the book.

In my book I am related to Percy Jackson because he keeps  your hopes up during the story. When Annabeth and him have no hope, he brings it back up by making jokes or saying "As long as we stick together" I like to make people laugh and it makes me laugh when they laugh to. This character reminds me of my dog because my  dog is very brave, cool, awesome, and cheers me up when I am in a bad mood. When I was a kid my dad had lost his wallet and I dressed up all black, glasses, and a detective hat. I looked everywhere for the wallet and so were my parents and I made them laugh with my costume and kept telling them the wallet was here. Apparently my dads wallet was in his pocket so everything worked out. This is why I am related to Percy Jackson.

Throughout the story I was surprised that Bob forgave Percy because Percy betrayed him and Nico was being the only friend to him. All of the characters in the story are changing like some are changing to prove them selves, love, braveness, and trust. I recommend this book for you if you like mythology, action, and mystery. You can read the book if you want to find out if they reunite Romans and Greeks, rescue Percy and Annabeth from tarturus, and stop Gaea.

Beware, The Snowman

R.L.Stine

Jaclyn lived in Chicago and her aunt moved to Sherpia with her and Jaclyn. They moved to Speripa because her aunt and her mom were very close and lived here when they were little. Jaclyn heard some strange noises every night before she had gone to sleep. Jaclyn made some friends and wanted to know about the strange snowman's that are every where on every ones yard. She had found some facts and whats happening in their town and mystery s.
Jaclyn has reminded me of my friends that have moved in. This person didn't know didn't know anything about the street and what was going to happen so someone had to explain to them. This has happened to me when someone moved in and I had to teach them about my street and how many kids they had to play with if they had kids. Jaclyn wanted to find the snowmen every one was talking about so she went and found the snowmen at the top of the hill, from her friends Eli and Roland .      Jaclyn found her dad and was very happy then something honorable happened. She didnt understand why this has happened.
There is more to come... The End
