The House of Hades
The book I'm reading is called The House of Hades by Rick Riordan. The book is about seven demigods who go on an adventure to stop Gaea from destroying the world. Gaea is a god who has more power than you can imagine and she wants to rule the world with her minions. Since Percy and Annabeth fell into Tarturus they have to close the doors of death to get back to the mortal world. If they succeed the monsters they kill will die for good and never come back. The rest of the demigods have to stop the Romans and the Greeks from fighting so they can fight Gaea together and rescue Percy and Annabeth. If you want to know if Percy and Annabeth survive and defeat Gaea, check the book out.
In the book all of the characters have something to do. They all have there quests for fighting evil forces and saving each other. When I was reading this book it reminded me of Harry Potter a bit. Both of the books are fantasy and have magic and mythical creatures. In Harry Potter the characters have quests to stop the antagonist, Voldemort who wants to rule the world. Its the same in Percy Jackson because they are fighting an evil force who wants to rule world with all power possible. This is why I think the Percy Jackson Series is related to the Harry Potter series.
In the book it leaves me wondering who is going to sacrifice themselves to Gaea. Either Jason is going to die or Leo since the prophecy said. When I was reading the book I started thinking about the prophecy, "Seven half-bloods shall answer the call, to storm of fire the world must fall, an oath to keep with a final breath, and foes bear arms to the doors of death." The last part in the prophecy to me meant that a giant, titan, and demigods which are all enemies means that they will group up to close the doors of death and stop Gaea. The ending to this book was sad and another cliffhanger. I really recommend this book because it is one of the best books Rick Riordan has made.
Nice, had everything it needed.
